Monashee Provincial Park

Lush vegetation and brooding forests line the trail up Spectrum Creek to Peters and Margie Lakes which sparkle beneath peaks that reach 3 000 m above sea level. Naked bedrock protruding from a stunted carpet of alpine vegetation undoubtedly led to the Valley of the Moon's rather intriguing name. Visitors may see mountain caribou, mule deer, ground squirrels and pikas.
